Get ready to kick off the holidays in true Savannah style! Celebrate the Season brings lights, laughter, music and community to historic City Market for a month of holiday magic in the heart of Savannah. Enjoy festive shopping, live entertainment and heartwarming traditions from a glowing candle-lit procession and tree lighting to a joyful pet parade and costume contest the first weekend in December. Also, bring your family, friends and holiday spirit each weekend in December for holiday cheer. All events are free and open to the public.

Friday, December 5, 6-8 p.m.

Start your weekend with a magical evening in City Market on Friday, Dec. 5! Meet in front of Wexford’s at 6:15 p.m. for a candle-lit procession with caroling that leads to the City Market Tree Lighting Ceremony with music by Kimberly Gunn. Afterwards, explore City Market for special shopping deals, music & live demos in the Art Center and pictures with Father Christmas. There will even be a Santa Duck Hunt for festive prizes if you find one hidden in City Market! It’s the perfect way to welcome the holiday season- Savannah-style.

Saturday, December 6, 1-3 p.m.

The celebration continues with an afternoon full of holiday fun on Saturday, Dec. 6. Sing along at open-mic Christmas karaoke in the courtyard, shop local in retail stores and artist tents for one-of-a-kind gifts, stop by for kids zone for holiday activities, and don’t miss the Pet Parade & Costume Contest featuring our city’s cutest and most creative four-legged friends decked out in their best holiday attire. (Meet in front of Woof Gang Bakery at 2:15 p.m. to enter the parade and costume contest). Father Christmas will make a special appearance for photos too!

Saturday, December 13 & 20, 1-3 p.m.

Don’t miss your chance to meet Father Christmas for a merry photo at Saturdays with Santa! Come down to City Market on Saturday Dec. 13 and Dec. 20 from 1-3 p.m. to shop small businesses, browse local art, enjoy seasonal food menus and specialty cocktails, and listen to live music in the courtyard.
