Sibel Alpaslan is a ceramic artist living and working in Savannah, GA. She has been studying and making ceramics for over 25 years. The beauty of nature feeds Sibel. She is delighted by the whimsical forms that she sees in the plants and trees, and enjoys the interplay between the organic and the geometric. She strives to bring these qualities to her work. Mixing her Turkish past with American influences is also inspirational to Sibel. "I think it is my artistic responsibility to draw from the previous generations," she says. "Through my hands, eyes, and heart, I want to carry that wisdom and spirit into the future."
